Nubian, Oberhasli, & Experimental ADGA Dairy Goats
The Noblet Creek herd started in 2014 with a couple of Purebred Nubian doeling’s from Balingary Nubian’s in Fayetteville, TN.
While I brought in other lines, the Balingary does are where I plan to focus building out on for the Nubian herd because of their overall structure, temperament, and milking ability. The breeding program is still in the establishment phase and building on a lot of Tony 2nd Of Evania style breeding with the primary lines wrapped on of Balingary CB Daisy, Balingary TG Aura, and in 2025, Balingary WB Ebony.
The Noblet Creek Oberhasli herd started back in 2015 with Trinity Rose Iris sealing the breed as one of the mainstays in the Noblet Creek herd. Initially the plan was to follow the same breeding plan for the Nubian’s but further research shows the breed is very inbred, even in the American herdbook. American lines hold over 90% of the breed’s annual registrations and have for over a decade but the lowest 10 Gen COI I have available as of March 2026 is 6.229%. With this in mind, the breeding strategy for the Oberhasli at Noblet Creek is a primary out-cross program to establish Oberhasli-Type Experimental’s that will breed up into American.
The herd is maintained on free choice local grass hay, locally grown and milled grain rations, and Vitaferm minerals. Pastures are sporadically available and supplemental due to our current NW GA location i.e. a hot, humid, and usually heavy rainfall area year round known for allowing parasites to flourish.
As of Aug 2025, We’re in the process of culling a large number of goats from the herd as we narrow down lines to work with and integrate Oberhasli as a second breed more. With the current set up we’re limited to a herd size ranging from 15 to 25 head.
Please take a look around and feel free to reach out if you have any questions about our program.
